Our client is looking for dynamic experienced Teaching Assistants that have experience working with KS3 &/or KS4 students.

The job will be to support students in class that may need extra help or may have an EHCP.

The role is full-time Monday to Friday (8.30am – 3.30pm).

Salary range: £80 - £85 per day 

Location: SOUTH EAST HERTFORDSHIRE, so you will need to be willing to travel to Junction 25 on the M25.

The role is rewarding but it will have its challenges. You will be supporting the teacher with the students learning & at times mentoring and managing the pastoral/special educational needs of the children in your care. 

Candidates must be experienced working with children and have previously worked in a Secondary setting. They must also have empathy, enthusiasm and the passion to really make a difference in these students’ lifes.

What will you be expected to do in this position?

  • Assist students with their learning throughout the day 
  • Use strategies, in liaison with teaching staff, to support students who are struggling to achieve their learning goals
  • Promote self-esteem and independence
  • Assist with the planning of learning activities
  • Support the staff team with any challenging behaviours that may occur
