An excellent secondary school within the Borough of Enfield is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH).

This is a full-time, long term role to start ASAP, from 8.30am until 3.30pm each day.

This school is the perfect place to work if you have a passion for helping young people succeed and want to make a real difference to those in need of support.

It is a fast paced role but it is a great opportunity for someone who would like to further develop their skills in the SEN sector!

The role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Supporting children in & out of the classroom
  • Support, inspire and motivate pupils to progress in their learning
  • Understand pupils SEMH needs and assist in developing strategies to manage these
  • Acting as a buddy/mentor supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues
  • Working with parents, senior leaders in school and social services if need be
