Salary £25-£35 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The students are from reception – Y11 and have a variety of needs including:

  • Communication and interaction e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Learning and Cognition e.g. Dyslexia.
  • Social, emotional and mental health e.g. Behavioural Difficulties.

The tuition takes place normally in the home or online where appropriate, using a teaching platform.

If you can offer minimum 2 hours per day x 5 days per week this may be the perfect position to suit your current lifestyle.

If you have QTS or can demonstrate previous success in teaching young people with special educational needs we would like to hear from you.  Your skill set will be matched to the appropriate student  You may be a graduate who is looking to complete a teaching qualification/  have knowledge of PECS or Makaton/ be a  maths/ English specialist or have other appropriate skills and knowledge of SEND.

It is beneficial to have your own transport as the students may live some distance apart.   This is not essential but time consuming.

You will be subject to our stringent vetting process including background checks and necessary qualifications.   You must either be on the DBS Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
