SEN Teaching Assistant required immediately

Overview

A client school in East London requires an LSA to support  pupils who present with ASD and complex needs.   

You will be working as part of a team in a very inclusive setting with the needs of the children being paramount.   This position offers a great place to work within a very friendly environment where you will learn more and more skills to further your career.

The role is full-time (8:30am - 3:30pm) temporary long term position but will lead to a permanent post for the right candidate. 

Salary range: £85-£95 per day (inclusive of Holiday Pay)

The ideal candidate will come from an educational setting or may be a graduate who would like to further a career in teaching. Previous experience of working with children with autism would be advantageous but not essential.

Person Specification:

  • Willingness to meet pupils’ primary care needs
  • Be calm under pressure
  • Be willing to be trained in a positive handling course
  • Experience working in a SEND setting is beneficial but not essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Being a good team player is essential for the health and safety of all stakeholders

You will be subject to our stringent vetting process, including background checks and necessary qualifications. You must either be on the DBS Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.

If you have been a UK resident for less than 5 years, a Right to Work visa must be provided and a criminal background check must also be provided for any country you have resided in for 6 months or more within the last 5 years.
