LTS are seeking two dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to provide vital support for pupils with additional needs in the London Borough of Haringey.

You will work with children with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

You will support pupils both in class and in small group or one-to-one settings, helping them access learning, develop communication and social skills, manage their needs and build confidence and independence.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am until 3.30pm each day.

You will be paid daily, between £90 and £93 a day, on a weekly basis and you will be expected to follow the local school term dates, ideally avoiding taking holiday in term time to enable you to build good relationships with the pupils.

About The School

The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Wood Green area of Haringey. Pupils are happy, safe, and supported to reach their full potential. They feel respected, enjoy learning, and value the support they receive from staff.

Leaders are ambitious for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Lessons are well organised, engaging, and structured to help pupils build knowledge and confidence. Behaviour is positive and respectful in lessons, and the school works proactively through PSHE to teach healthy relationships and promote mutual respect. Pupils enjoy a wide range of clubs and activities, feel able to express themselves, and know that differences are celebrated.

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic, with a nurturing approach.
  • Strong communicator and a team player.
