Full Time SEN Primary Teacher Required

We are currently seeking a committed and motivated Special Educational Needs Teacher to start in September 2023 in one of our client schools in Woodford Green, North London. The salary range is between £180 and £250 per day.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4pm) and you will be teaching students who have Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

The pupils are working below their chronological age and have complex learning, medical and behavioural needs. They benefit from a multisensory approach so experience in tailoring lessons and delivering creative and engaging sessions would be extremely beneficial.

Communication and pupil voice are at the core of the curriculum offer so good interpersonal abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must too.

Pupils may not always acquire skills and knowledge in linear ways, so there is an emphasis on making learning ‘real’ and meaningful through contextual learning experiences, repetition and generalisation to secure good outcomes for all.

There will be Teaching Assistants and specialist Therapists on hand to ensure that barriers to learning are removed and students can access the curriculum throughout the day.

If this sounds of interest to you please don’t hesitate to contact us as soon as possible. You will be able to visit the school and spend some time with the pupils and the current teachers prior to interviewing with the Senior Leadership Team.

• Lead sessions, demonstrate and assign tasks

What's in it for you?

• Good rate of pay within the sector

• Good SLT support from the existing team within the school

• Comprehensive induction programme and continuous in-house CPD from the school
